UMI delivers data in a variety of formats via two delivery methods.
For large-scale enterprise environments and publishers, neighborhood data can be delivered via XML, WKT (a standards-supported CSV format), ASCII, SHP (shapefile) and MapInfo TAB.
Via UMI’s application program interface (API), data can be delivered via web services. This transactional model is an ideal solution for organizations seeking to quickly migrate to a geo-friendly architecture, offering benefits previously limited to enterprise customers.
The neighborhood REST service is available to support the needs of local search, social and mobile applications. These include appending neighborhood data to listings, neighborhood-ZIP code intersections and a variety of other services. To learn more about this service, visit our technical documentation page.
