Urban Mapping Named Winner in Communication Arts’ 45th Design Annual

Today Urban Mapping received notification that Dynamap: Manhattan has been selected as a winner in its juried competition. Over 11,000 entries were received across 19 categories and a total of 243 awards were given to 208 firms, making the award the most exclusive design competition in the world. Awards were chosen on the basis of creative excellence and quality of execution.

Published each November, the Design Annual incorporates special reproduction techniques developed by CA, including quality 175-line color separation and printing on premium 80 lb coated paper by one of the finest printers in the United States.

Communication Arts’ 45 Design Annual will be available October 24, 2004.

Urban Mapping awarded Design Distinction in ID Magazine Annual Design Review

Urban Mapping’s first consumer product, Dynamap: Manhattan, has been honored with the prestigious Design Distinction Award for the Consumer Products category. For the past 50 years ID Magazine has conducted the juried competition across several categories. This year’s entries were among the strongest in the history of the award.

Within the Consumer Products category, one Best of Category award was given, four Design Distinctions and 16 Honorable Mentions. Urban Mapping’s product was deemed superior to products produced by BMW, LG Telecom, Karim Rashid, Yamaha Corporation, Nike and others.

Urban Mapping Awarded iF communication design Award

Today Urban Mapping received notification that Urban Mapping: Manhattan has received a seal of design excellence in the print media category. Over selected as a winner in its juried competition. There were 81 winners across the 1,003 total entries. iF Silver and Gold awards will be presented at the awards ceremony, September 3 in Hannover, Germany.
