From March 30-April 1 the georatti will gather at the San Jose Marriott to hear what’s hot, what’s not, and much more. UMI’s White is especially interested in the panel he organized, Base Map 2.0 (or Base Maps Revisited). Why? Only a few big names: Head of product for the UK’s Ordinance Survey, Chief of geography division at US Census, founder of Open Street Map and CEO of Waze.

This year’s event takes place October 7-9 at in Westminster, Colorado, just outside Denver. The panel includes Greg Skibiski of Sense Networks, Anne Bezancon of 1020 Placecast, Sean Gorman of FortiusOne and will be moderated by Darren Koenig of Tele Atlas.
